Mrs. Melinda Gourley

Teaching is an absolute passion of mine.  I am so excited to work with you and your child this year!  It's going to be a year full of fun, learning, and lots of adventures and I can't wait to see what this year has in store for us.

I am married to my wonderful husband, Nate.  We've lived in Knoch School District since 2006 and  have 2 amazing children (Kayla and Bryson).    I grew up in Natrona Heights and graduated from Highlands High School in 1999.  I am a Slippery Rock University graduate with 2 degrees (Public Health and Elementary Education).  

This will be my sixteenth year teaching at Knoch Primary School teaching first grade.  Before that, I taught first grade at Highlands School District for a year, and was a building substitute for the same school the year prior.  I absolutely love teaching first grade!  It is a mission to instill a love for learning in my students.  I attempt to teach with a passion for my subject so that my students develop a desire to become lifelong learners.
