Mrs. Sperling | Reading Specialist

I am proud to serve as a Title I Reading Specialist at Knoch Primary School. I have been teaching at KPS since 2024 and am passionate about supporting our youngest readers as they develop strong foundational literacy skills and confidence in themselves as learners.

 

I graduated from Saint Vincent College in 2022 with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Special Education. In 2024, I earned my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, along with my Reading Specialist certification from SVC. I have a strong dedication to literacy and to helping children develop the skills, confidence, and joy that come with becoming successful readers. As a Reading Specialist, I use evidence-based practices grounded in the Science of Reading to provide purposeful and structured literacy instruction. I look forward to helping students strengthen their foundational reading skills, celebrate their progress, and develop a lifelong love of reading.

 

I am so thankful to be part of the Knoch Primary School community and look forward to partnering with our teachers and families to help every student become a confident and successful reader. I am eager for all of the learning, growth, and wonderful moments this year will bring!
