2nd Graders Engineer Boats Learning about Buoyancy

Our 2nd-grade students have been diving into the world of engineering by exploring design, buoyancy, and material properties. As part of their learning, students designed, built, and tested their own boats using materials such as cork, paper, and foam. Through hands-on experimentation, they investigated which designs could hold the most weight while developing a deeper understanding of why objects sink or float.
